Quality Assurance and Certifications | Turkish Cotton Textile Supply
How We Manage Quality
TurkCotton supplies cotton yarn, greige fabric, finished fabric, towels, bed linen, hospitality textiles, and garments from Turkish mills that are audited annually against international quality, safety, and sustainability standards. Buyers receive full quality documentation with each shipment covering product specification, batch origin, and certification status relevant to the destination market.
Certifications Held by Our Mills
Turkish mills supplying through TurkCotton hold the following certifications across product categories. Certification scope varies by mill and product type and is confirmed at quotation stage.
GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard — covers full supply chain traceability for organic cotton products from fibre through to finished goods. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifies that every component of the finished textile — yarn, fabric, dyes, and accessories — has been tested for harmful substances and meets safety requirements for the relevant product class. ISO 9001:2015 covers quality management systems across spinning, weaving, finishing, and garment production. BCI — Better Cotton Initiative — membership applies to mills committed to sustainable cotton farming practices covering water use, soil health, and farming community support.
Three-Stage Inspection Process
Every production run supplied through TurkCotton passes through three inspection stages before shipment.
The first stage covers raw material and yarn verification — confirming that fibre grade, count, twist, and composition meet the agreed specification. The second stage covers in-process checks at critical production points including weaving density, finishing chemical application, dyeing consistency, and cut-and-sew dimensions. The third stage is a pre-shipment inspection covering finished product measurements, weight, packaging integrity, labelling accuracy, and quantity verification against the purchase order. Third-party pre-shipment inspection is available on buyer request.
Technical Testing and Performance Standards
Cotton textile products supplied through TurkCotton are tested against the performance standards relevant to the product category and destination market. Yarn products are tested for count accuracy, tensile strength, and twist per metre. Fabric products are tested for GSM, thread count, tensile strength, and dimensional stability after washing. Towel and bath linen products are tested for absorbency, colour fastness to washing and light, and shrinkage after industrial laundering. Garment products are tested for seam strength, dimensional stability, and colour fastness.
Test reports from accredited laboratories are available for all standard product lines and are included in the shipment documentation package on request.
ESG and Sustainability Documentation
TurkCotton provides sustainability documentation for buyers with Scope 3 reporting obligations and ESG procurement requirements. Documentation available includes GOTS chain-of-custody certificates, BCI sourcing records, fibre origin declarations, and chemical compliance records covering restricted substance lists relevant to the destination market.
For buyers requiring carbon footprint estimates, water usage data, or social audit records from manufacturing facilities, requirements should be stated at inquiry stage. Availability varies by facility and is confirmed at feasibility stage.
Documentation Provided with Each Shipment
Standard shipment documentation from TurkCotton includes certificate of conformity, mill test reports, packing list, and certification copies relevant to the product category. For GOTS-certified organic programs, chain-of-custody transaction certificates are provided. For hospitality and healthcare textile programs, wash durability test results and chemical compliance records are included.
Buyers requiring specific documentation formats for retail compliance, customs clearance, or internal quality management systems should specify requirements at inquiry stage.
Requesting Quality Documentation
Buyers requiring certification copies, test reports, or mill audit summaries prior to placing an order should include this request at inquiry stage. Send product category, destination market, certification requirements, and volume to info@turkcotton.com and we will confirm certification coverage and documentation availability alongside the product quotation.
