Cotton Textile Export Logistics from Turkey | Shipment Coordination for Global Buyers

How We Ship

TurkCotton coordinates export shipment of cotton yarn, greige fabric, finished fabric, towels, bath mats, bed linen, hospitality textiles, healthcare textiles, and garments from Turkish textile manufacturing clusters to buyers in Europe, North America, the Gulf, and global markets. Shipments move by road to European destinations and by sea from Ambarlı, Mersin, and İzmir to intercontinental markets. Transit times, Incoterms, and freight cost estimates are confirmed at quotation stage alongside product pricing.

Transit Times and Export Routes

TurkCotton ships from three primary export gateways depending on production facility location and destination market.

Road freight to Central and Eastern Europe runs 3 to 5 days from Turkish textile production clusters. Sea freight from Istanbul Ambarlı Port to Northern Europe runs approximately 7 to 12 days. Sea freight to the US East Coast from Ambarlı or Mersin runs approximately 18 to 22 days. Sea freight to Gulf destinations from Mersin runs approximately 5 to 8 days. Air freight is available for urgent sample programs and small volume shipments.

Container Formats and Loading

Cotton textile products are shipped in 20-foot and 40-foot standard containers and 40-foot high-cube containers depending on product density and volume. Yarn shipments are loaded on pallets in export cartons or on cones in bulk bags depending on buyer specification. Fabric shipments are loaded on rolls or folded on boards in export cartons depending on product type and quantity. Finished textile products including towels, bed linen, and garments are packed in export cartons on pallets with moisture protection.

LCL consolidation is available for buyers with smaller initial volumes or mixed-category shipments.

Incoterms and Delivery Options

TurkCotton supplies on FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP, and DDP terms. EU buyers benefit from Turkey's Customs Union status which removes import duty on qualifying cotton textile products at the EU border. A.TR movement certificates are prepared for all EU-bound shipments. For US-bound shipments, certificate of origin documentation is prepared in the format required by the buyer's customs broker.

DDP delivery to named EU facilities is available with full import clearance coordination from the Turkish side.

Export Documentation

Standard export documentation from TurkCotton includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and A.TR movement certificate for EU-bound cargo. Test reports, GOTS chain-of-custody transaction certificates, and OEKO-TEX certificates are included in the product documentation package where applicable.

For buyers requiring phytosanitary certificates, fumigation records, or specific import compliance documentation for their destination market, requirements should be confirmed at inquiry stage.

Shipment Planning for Volume Programs

TurkCotton works with buyers on forward shipment planning for seasonal and annual volume programs. Hospitality buyers sourcing for hotel openings or annual linen replacement programs benefit from phased production and delivery scheduling aligned with project timelines and installation windows. Yarn and fabric buyers running continuous production benefit from regular shipment schedules that reduce inventory holding requirements at the destination.
